after models by Pierre-Emile Jeannest, modelled as a woman, standing, wearing simple dress, a net draped across her shoulder and holding a basket of fish on a rocky mound moulded with seaweed, her companion, standing, bearded, wearing a cape and simplr dress, a bird perched on hid thumb, on a rocky mound issuing foliage, on circular bases, enriched in colours, impressed marks, date codes for 1865 -- 14in. (35.6cm.) high (woman's thumb lacking, small chip to back of basket, some minor firing cracks and staining)
