Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1941 and its subsequent sale on February 21 of the following year.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 514 from 1936 until approximately 1947. This is one of only two known to the market in pink gold. The stepped case seen in the present watch is more typical of watches produced in the 1930s and more rare for 1940s examples.
