Cal. 727 nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, black matte dial, cream chapter ring with luminescent baton numerals, luminescent hands, three cream engine-turned subsidiary dials for 30 minute and 12 hour registers, constant seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, bezel calibrated for 200 units per hour, screw-down crown, screw back, case, dial and movement signed, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp

Lot Essay

Rolex introduced the reference 6262 in the late 1960s with the updated caliber 727. It was one of the last chronograph references to be produced with push down buttons. It was available in stainless steel, 14k and 18k gold as well with the standard dial or a Paul Newman verison like the present example.
