Comprising a Scottish snuff-mull, the silver lid inset with agate and engraved with an inscription dated 1837, 9.5 cm. high; and a shell and silver snuff-box, mark of Robert Rutland, London, 1803, 5 cm. wide
Together with a rectangular tortoiseshell box with rounded corners, with gold inlay to cover, circa 1860, 7.2 cm. wide; a rectangular tortoiseshell snuff-box with double-opening lid, gold inlay on lid and border, gold hinge, circa 1830, 8 cm. wide; an oblong George III blonde tortoiseshell snuff-box with gold cartouche and hinge, circa 1800, 5.6 cm. wide; an oblong tortoiseshell snuff-box with vari-colour gold piqué-posé flowers and modern silver mounts, circa 1770, 7.4 cm. wide; an escutcheon-shaped horn snuff-box with tortoiseshell lining and borders, mid 19th Century, 7.5 cm. wide; a lozenge-shaped blonde tortoiseshell box, hinged at the short end, the lid with a lozenge-shaped gold plaque, English, circa 1800, 10 cm. wide; and an oval carved amber box inlaid with a pewter plaque, signed on the reverse L.P.
