EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With finely watered curved single-edged fullered blade double-edged towards the point and with faint inlaid Arabic inscription on one side towards the forte, silver-gilt hilt with engraved quillons each with bud-shaped finial, horn grip-scales, in original wooden scabbard covered in black leather and with silver-gilt mounts engraved en suite with foliage, the back-edge of the locket struck with a tughra and with hinged flap, and two rings for suspension
