Lot Essay

The arms are those of Parsons quartering Sprigge and possibly Hamilton with Clere in pretence for Sir William Parsons (1731-1791) 4th Baronet of Birr Castle, Ireland, MP for King's County. In 1754 he married Mary, daughter and heiress of John Clere of Kilbury.
