Lots 1070 and 1071 were originally installed in the chapel of the Aldenham School in Hertfordshire and were part of a series of windows made after designs by Pre-Raphaelite artist, Edward Burne-Jones. The windows were produced by the glass workshops of Morris & Co., the company founded by designer William Morris, seminal figure in the international Arts & Crafts movement. The firm manufactured a wide array of goods including windows, textiles and wallpapers, with one of their main focuses being church decoration.
