An ebonised, painted and giltwood Grand Sonnerie table clock
the block case with laurel wreath mounts to the corners and budding lotus leaf finials to top and sides, supported by two white marble columns and two white-painted pilasters, the base with steps to the centre and tri-section mirror back mounted with framed portraits of a lady to either side, the ground painted to simulate a wooden floor, further pressed gilt-metal mounts to the front, on bun feet, with white enamel Roman dial, the triple going barrel movement with strike on two gongs, Austrian, third quarter 19th century -- 24¾in.(63cm.) high
