On circular pedestal foot with knopped stem chased with foliage and rosettes, the body with four scroll supports issuing from the knop and chased with acanthus leaves, twin leaf-capped scroll handles with foliate terminals, the cover with reed and ribbon border and knop finial, with presentation inscription for The National Open Hurdles Sweepstakes, 1934 at Clapton Stadium, won by Miss D.Dowding's "Scallywag II", on an ebonised wood base
