Decorated in varicolored gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirikane and inlaid mixed-metal figures with scenes from the legend of Momotaro, the obverse with the old man from the story gathering wood in the forest and the reverse with the old woman discovering the peach carrying tiny Momotaro floating down the river, all against a kinji ground; with an ivory netsuke of a man sitting on a large bundle of wood, a small frog at his feet, signed Ryozan; with coral ojime
