The small, rectangular box with rounded corners and fitted lid decorated in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, ceramic and mixed-metal inlay with a moored boat floating on stylized waves and a fingernail moon in the sky, all on a roiro ground, the lower tray fitted with a nashiji brush, a slate inkstone with fundame rim, inkstick and a gilt-metal waterdropper (suiteki) in the form of a plum blossom; interior nashiji
