A DECORATIVE HALBERD AND A TOURNAMENT LANCE
THE FIRST IN GERMAN 16TH CENTURY STYLE, THE SECOND PROBABLY 19TH CENTURY
The first with long slender spike of stiff diamond section, crescent axe-blade and downcurved fluke each pierced with circular holes, the fluke with a mark on one side, open socket, and four side-strap, two made separately, on wooden shaft; the second of light weight, with turned grip with short tapering fluted rear section and long tapering partially fluted forward section
The first with 31 in. (78.7 cm.) head; the second 121½ in. (308.6 cm.) long (2)
