The kings and queens each with pierced crowns, the bishops with mitres, the knights as horses' heads, the rooks as turrets surmounted by flags
The kings -- 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high; the pawns -- 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high
Together with a South German walnut and marquetry folding games board, 18th century, with a chequer board, the interior with backgammon -- 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; 19¾ in. (50 cm.) wide; 18 in. (45.5 cm.) deep (2)
