A black schist fragment with Buddha
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd Century
With the head of Buddha, eyes downcast, the hair pulled over the ushnisha and secured with a headband, below the fronds of the Bodhi tree carved in the shape of a nimbus, flanked by adoring worshippers
