A WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1850
Of slightly flattened rounded-rectangular shape above a neat oval- shaped short foot, carved on one side with a horse grazing beneath an ancient pine tree, and a four-character inscription, gu mu san ma (the horse strolls amidst the ancient woods), the other side carved with four characters, zhu ye zhen cang (literally 'bamboo indeed, treasured plaything'), the even white stone with a soft polish, tourmaline stopper
