Compare two white jade bottles of similar bamboo-shoot form illustrated by H. Moss, V. Graham and K.B. Tsang, A Treasury of Chinese Snuff Bottles, The Mary and George Bloch Collection, vol. 1, Jade, Hong Kong, 1995, pp. 168-71, nos. 67-8, and a third example, pp. 172-3, no. 69, which is embellished with a separately made section of a bamboo plant carved from green jade.
