NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY
One a dish with shallow flared sides, the center finely carved with a flower stem, covered inside and out with a glaze of ivory tone that also covers the flat base and pools to a pale olive color in areas, with metal-mounted rim; the bowl with deep rounded sides that flare from the ring foot to the metal-mounted rim, the interior carved with a single flower stem, covered overall with a glaze of ivory tone with some pale olive tears on the exterior
4 5/8 and 3 5/8 in. (11.7 and 9.2 cm.) diam. (2)
