KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each painted with a scene of two elegant ladies in a garden, the rim painted with a band of alternating panels enclosing butterflies or katydids separated by large blossoms against a diaper ground, the underside painted with four floral sprays beneath a decorative border; together with a large famille verte dish, Kangxi period, painted in the center with a pair of pheasants, a pair of mandarin ducks and small birds perched with in a prunus tree, all amidst prunus, lotus and chrysanthemums, below the molded well decorated with panels of flower sprigs, the everted, petal-barbed rim with alternating panels of birds in trees and butterflies and flowers, with branches of flowers on the exterior
