AN UNUSUAL FAMILLE VERTE PALE CAFE-AU-LAIT-GROUND DISH
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
With shallow rounded body rising to a widely flared rim, the interior painted with a river scene in which a fisherman tries to stop a cormorant from taking fish from a basket, below a seaded green band scattered with prunus blossoms between cartouches enclosing bird-headed dragons, all within line borders and reserved on a pale cafe-au-lait ground repeated on the exterior
10½ in. (26.6 cm.) diam.
