YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The center finely pencilled and shaded with three stylized blossoms surrounded by scrolling leafy stems, the same design repeated in a band around the exterior, all within double line borders

Lot Essay

A pair of Yongzheng-marked blue and white dishes of slightly larger size (15 cm.) and similar decoration, although with five flower heads in the interior as opposed to three as seen on the present dish, was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 30 May 2006, lot 1401.
