A FAMILLE ROSE RETICULATED 'REVOLVING' VASE
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The revolving globular center section with three reticulated roundels of dragons amidst clouds separated by conjoined scrolling flower sprays reserved on a pale turquoise ground, the roundels partially obscuring the wall of the inner vase painted with a continuous landscape of bamboo, lingzhi, narcissus and nandina growing from amidst rocky outcrops, the waisted neck and spreading foot painted with bats and lotus scroll reserved on a blue ground between lappet, ruyi head and fret borders
