Lot Essay

The Adriatic was built in 1907 by the White Star Line as a luxurious trans-Atlantic vessel. At over 700 feet long, the Adriatic carried over 3,000 passengers and crew from Liverpool or Southampton, England to New York. After the White Star Line merged with the Cunard Line in 1935, the Adriatic made its last ocean crossing.
