A RUSSET-STAINED JADE ARCHAISTIC BLADE
LATE MING/EARLY QING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
The thick blade tapering very slightly from the butt end to the curved edge of the blade which has slightly grooved outer edges, with a small concave circle with raised center on one side below one of two slightly raised bands that flank a corresponding hole, the butt carved with a narrow rope-twist border on both sides, the stone of yellowish-white color with extensive russet staining
