AN UNUSUAL GREYISH-WHITE AND BROWN JADE RETICULATED CARVING OF TWO PHOENIXES
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
Finely carved in high relief on one side with two finely detailed phoenixes set atop a ground of reticulated fret pattern, one phoenix with delicate scrolling tail feathers, the other with a dragon's head, and both finely detailed, the reverse also carved in high relief with five lingzhi stems that issue from the center to form a circle, the greyish-white stone with dark brown markings
