EARLY DYNASTIC III, CIRCA 2500-2400 B.C.
Finely carved with contest scenes in two registers, the upper register with a bearded hero attacking a rearing lion who attacks an inverted bull, two crossed lions at the centre, one of which attacks the bull, the other attacks another bull on the other side, who is crossed with a second bull who is attacked by a bearded hero, the lower register with two symmetrical groups of three - a hero attacking a lion, who in turn attacks a bull, the figure of a human-headed rearing bull at the end
