An early edition of Gesner's 'most popular work' (Wellisch), collecting recipes for distillation, wine making, and medicines. Most of the woodcuts reproduce various stills. It was first published in 1552 under the pseudonym 'Euonymus'. Bound with a compendium of remedies by John XXI as Petrus Hispanus, written when he was physician to Gregory X. Wellisch A32.7.
