Château Lynch-Bages has been owned by the Cazes family since the purchase in 1939 from the previous owner, Flix de Vial. Jean-Michel Cazes became involved with the chteau in 1973 and a few years later appointed Daniel Llose as wine maker, who continues to make the wine today. The Cazes family also own Château Ormes-de-Pez and Villa Bel-Air.
