The wines in this Long Island collection were removed from temperature controlled home storage by Christie's specialists for this sale. The cases of Bordeaux were bought on release by the current owner, a long time food and wine lover. All of the bottles were bought from impeccable sources, this truly being a wine connoisseur's cellar.

"The '85 Lafite at a recent dinner was a marvel of elegance and finesse, with a ripe, perfumed nose of curranty fruit with a spicy edge, a hint of smoke and an earthy note.
