manuscript on paper, 15ll. of fine black naskh, punctuation in red, gold roundels between verses, gold margin between black rules, gold and polychrome illuminated marginal medallions, occasional marginal notes in red, headings in white in gold illuminated panels, gold and polychrome finely illuminated opening bifolio, Ottoman, signed by Hafiz Muhammad al-Farid a pupil of Hajj Hafiz Muhammad, the Imam of the Muradiyya Mosque at Edirne and dated AH 1227/1812 AD, maroon morocco binding with gold and red tooled medallion and spandrels, (negligible staining, light wear to binding, one board loose) - 7¾ x 5in. (19.5 x 12.7cm.)
