Lot Essay

A number of examples exist showing some similarities in workmanship illustrated in Liutai in Brescia , Eric Blot Edizioni, 2008, pages 82-99. A dendrochronology analysis was performed by Peter Ratcliff, (H.Dip M.I.T.) of East Sussex who observed that the youngest tree ring on the bass side dates to 1679 and on the treble side 1673. He also stated that there existed good matches to Italian references.
