AFGHANISTAN, 12TH CENTURY
Rising from conical foot to shallow rounded body with wide flaring rim, the cobalt-blue interior with moulded decoration of chasing animals including a lion, dog, horse and goat on a ground of scrolling vines, centre of dish also with moulded addorsed animal decoration in white glaze, exterior of foot with moulded scrolling vine and cusped arch decoration.
