A collection of love stories of mystical significance, Persian manuscript on gold-sprinkled paper, 342ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of flowing black nasta'liq arranged in two columns with double intercolumnar rules, each folio with a further column of text written on the diagonal with triangles of gold and polychrome illumination at top and bottom, text panels outlined in gold and polychrome, catchwords, opening bifolium with dense gold and polycrome illumination surrounding a calligraphic medallion on the left and a figure on the right, three similarly illuminated headpieces in the text, folios slightly trimmed, in black morocco with green stamped medallions and spandrels, marbled paper doublures
