Lot Essay

An example of the present jardinière, conceived by Larche as a part of a three-piece table garniture, is illustrated in A. Duncan, The Paris Salons, Suffolk, 1999, Vol. V, illus. p. 369. A pair of companion tazze, also illustrated, was sold at Christies, New York, 24 April 2003, lot 329.
