CIRCA 1880, THE BOX INTERIOR LINED IN PEACH SILK, THE PORCELAIN PROBABLY MARKED WITH A BLUE SCEPTRE MARK FOR BERLIN
Of rectangular form with gaping mask escutcheon, the hinged cover surmounted by a scroll and shell handle flanked by busts of putti, the top composed of four panels painted in the manner of Watteau with vignettes of courting couples in garden landscapes, mounted at the corners with flower-filled cornucopiae, supported at each corner by a caryatid putto wearing billowing drapery, on an acanthus molded base and four scroll feet
