Lot Essay

Georges Bahgory produced the painting right after the war of 1967 (El -Nakssah) when people were feeling very depressed about the loss of the war. He dedicated the paintings to the people of Egypt in hopes of lifting their spirits and giving them inspiration. Through this painting he was also paying homage to the bravery of the Egyptian soldiers who fought very heroically during the war.
