The caption notes: 'This is one of the pictures from the outstanding book, Jesus Lived Here, and was taken by the well-known Swiss photographer Philipp Geigel, to illustrate text provided by Paul Bruin. In the Holy Land fear of 'evil spirits' prevails so the lintels of doors are daubed with protective blue patches or with handprints to ward them off.'
