This and the following twelve lots bear witness to the distinctive talent of one of the great portrait photographers of all time. The relatively few scattered prints that exist (virtually no negatives survive), are unique relics, treasures saved from Deakin's own neglect and well demonstrating his exceptional eye. This is Christie's third offering from the Collection of Georgina Barker.
