A SUPERB EUROPEAN COLLECTION
The following lots 225 to 399 represent a thinning out of one of Europe's greatest collections. It was with great pleasure earlier this year that we visited this beautiful cellar in Northern Europe and removed a selection of some of the world's most sought after wines. The collectors passion is for the wines of Burgundy and all of the top Domaines are represented here from Romanée-Conti through to Comte de Vogüé via Rousseau and Méo-Camuzet. Superb examples from both Domaine and Olivier Leflaive - classic white Burgundy from Colin, Lafon and Ramonet all make this a superb opportunity for the Burgundy enthusiast to purchase some fantastic lots. The selection of Montrachets from many of the great producers of this rarest of Chardonnays is astounding.
The collection is not just restricted to Burgundy with classic examples from Bordeaux well represented. Château Lafite-Rothschild from the famed 1982 vintage in original wooden cases and a rare Jeroboam of Château Mouton-Rothschild 1982 are examples of this collector's superb eye for classics. A superb opportunity to purchase some great wines.
Lots 225 to 399 have been inspected and packed by Christie's staff and removed from the underground cellars of a respected collector of fine wine.
