The haft carved with the figures of two horses feeding from a wicker pannier above a tapering shaft pierced and carved in relief with a gentleman in a horse drawn carriage, further carved with a phoenix, foliate and geometric ornament, the later associated steel blade with a later silver ferrule bearing Dutch control marks
