EARLY 20TH CENTURY WITH 16TH CENTURY MALE TERM FIGURES
The pedimented head-board with plain moulded panel and similar side rails, the velvet posts with Ionic style capitals and surmounted by four painted male terms supporting the cornice
The male term figures 21 in. (53 cm.) high; The bed 98½ in. (250 cm.) high; 90 in. (229 cm.) wide; 91 in. (231 cm.) long
Provenance
Purchased in the early 1990's from the widow of John Page-Phillips (1930-1992), the London Antiques dealer (trading as Phillips & Page in Kensington Church Street), a Fellow of The Society of Antiquaries and President of the Monumental Brass Society
