SOLAIA

Grapes from the Solaia vineyard, meaning the "sunny one" in Italian, are carefully selected in order to create one of the world's most sought after wines. The first single vineyard wine was produced with the 1978 vintage, its initial blend 80 Cabernet Sauvignon and 20 Cabernet Franc. Today's blends have introduced up to 20 of Sangiovese creating a seductively fruity, complex and well-balanced blend, with soft tannins and a lingering finish. Like Tignanello, Solaia is only produced in exceptional vintages, setting a standard for high-quality wines from Italy.
