A GUAN-TYPE CONG-SHAPED VASE
DAOGUANG UNDERGLAZE-BLUE SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
Of rectangular shape and square section, on a round slightly splayed foot, the body moulded on each side with the Eight Trigrams below a short cylindrical neck, covered overall in a pale greyish-blue glaze with a network of russet and dark brown crackles
11½ in. (29 cm.) high
Provenance
Acquired in China circa 1890 by Dr. Henri Onimus, thence by descent to the current owner.
