IWATA TOSHICHI (1893-1980)

Born in Tokyo, Iwata Toshichi first studied metalwork and then Western style oil painting at Tokyo School of Arts while learning glass making by himself. From 1928 he won the Tokusen prize three years in a row for his works in glass.
