Château Haut-Brion--Vintage 1993
Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé
A warm spring brought an early budding. Through June, the weather was very good. The flowering was uniform. After a bout of cold weather, August was pretty war. August makes the must says a local adage. The grapes were remarkably healthy and ripened well. The rainy weather with one or two storms did not affect them at all.
Tasting note:
Open-rimmed, maturing; nose a rich mélange of coffee and fruit; distinct citrus character, easy style but dry finish. Jan 2000 **. MB
