A Meissen sauceboat
modelled as a galleon, the spout formed as a boar's head below panels moulded with seated hounds, the front section leaf moulded and castellated, the rim shaped above a gadrooned section, the stern moulded woith panels of signs of the Zodiac, the handle with similar panels, terminating in a bird's head, blue crossed swords mark -- 12½in. (31.8cm.) long, late 19th century (minor damages and wear)
