Loire, Gaston Huet
Levels: less than 1.5cm
"This vintage was one of the smallest crops ever (17 hls/ha) at the Domaine, and gave wines with notable acidity. The flavour concentration is due to the bunches having been 100 affected by noble rot. Deep amber colour - as here - is a tell-tale sign of the high incidence of noble rot (botrytis). The nose is of roasted, caramelised fruits and very fresh, with a touch of Muscat character. The wine has superb body and richness. It is intense, long, spicy and mineral - impeccable and marvellous." AH
