THE DELUXE ISSUE. Number 65 of 100 copies in a pigskin binding designed by Ricketts, and signed by Edward Prince of Wales and 89 notable contemporaries including Winston Churchill, P.G. Wodehouse, Jacob Epstein, Rudyard Kipling, Aldous Huxley, Eric Gill, Max Beerbohm, G.K. Chesterton, Augustus John, Paul Nash, Clemenceau, and Heath Robinson. The Legion book was published to raise funds for the British Legion under the patronage of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII. Churchill contributes an article on the recently deceased Douglas Haig. Cf. Woods B12(a).
