FIRST EDITION OF MAN RAY'S FIRST MONOGRAPH, INSCRIBED BY THE ARTIST: 'à Bob Calle -- Man Ray Paris 66', with a small drawing; Man Ray has also cancelled the fictitious statement of edition on the title. An excellent copy of this fragile book; this one, as most, with the cancel title stating 'second edition' -- the publisher 'attempted to generate demand where none existed by suggesting the edition had sold out... copies with the original title page are exceedingly rare' (101 Books). 101 Books, pp. 80-81; Auer, p.210; cf. Regards à travers le livre 47.
