AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE BUST OF A CAT
LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXVI-XXX, 664-343 B.C.
Hollow cast, elegantly depicted, the angular face with deeply-set elongated eyes, the radiating whiskers finely incised above the closed mouth, the long erect ears with incised tufts as horizontal striations, a perforation in the left ear for a now-missing earring, with an ornate double-strand collar below the neck
