With tapering barrel with turned moulding at the breech, plain tang struck with an inspection mark, border engraved flat bevelled lock marked 'TOWER' on the tail and with 'GR' cypher and inspection mark beneath the pan (jaw-screw replaced), walnut three-quarter stock stamped with maker's mark, storekeeper's mark, inspection marks and the date '1802', brass mounts including side-plate marked 'D20' and trigger-guard marked '143', and iron stirrup ramrod (iron parts cleaned, some discolouration, numerous small marks to stock, some marking to mounts), small King's proof marks
